Manage hibernation

Hibernation is a way to freeze the current working state of your Windows computer for an extended period. Unlike sleep mode—which uses minimal power to hold data in RAM—hibernation saves your working state to the hard disk and completely turns off the computer. This feature is useful if you're running important processes and need to step away; hibernation draws no power, making it ideal for laptops with limited battery life that can't stay in sleep mode indefinitely.

However, if you don't use hibernation, its file occupies a lot of disk space unnecessarily. In that case, you can use the Hibernation module in CleanMy® PC to turn hibernation off and remove the file, freeing up around 1 GB of disk space or more.

If you later decide that you need hibernation, go to Hibernation in CleanMy® PC and turn the feature on.

Additionally, to keep your Windows computer free of junk and clutter, use other CleanMy® PC modules—My Computer Cleanup and Multi Uninstaller.
