About CleanMy® PC

CleanMy® PC is more than just a regular PC cleaner designed only to free up space—it's a multi-tool that optimizes your computer, protects privacy, manages automatically launched programs and extensions, and more. Here's how you can use CleanMy® PC to keep your computer tidy and swift:

• Clean up excessive and broken data: The My Computer Cleanup module scans your hard drive to find cache files, numerous log files, unneeded help files, unused interface languages, and various trash files. Removing them is safe for your personal data and the system.

• Uninstall apps: The Multi Uninstaller module aggregates all installed apps into a single list and lets you remove any of them completely, along with all associated files. Moreover, you can select up to 10 apps at a time to get rid of them in just a couple of clicks.

• Turn hibernation off: As a PC owner, you may want to turn off the power-saving hibernation mode (designed mostly for laptops) to free up around 1 GB of disk space. You can do this easily in the Hibernation module.

• Manage extensions: Many programs and even Windows itself come with extensions, toolbars, or plugins you probably don't need. Removing these extras manually isn't easy—unless you use the Extensions module in CleanMy® PC, which lets you delete any extension in just a few clicks.

• Turn autoruns off or remove them completely: CleanMy® PC can help you turn off or remove programs that launch automatically with the operating system. Just go to the Autorun module and choose the programs you don't want to start every time Windows restarts. Unfortunately, manual removal of autorun data can be complicated due to the variety of locations where it's stored.

• Protect privacy: Your computer stores private information about your activities, both online and offline, which you may want to clean periodically. The Privacy module in CleanMy® PC easily finds and quickly removes such private data as cookies, browser and Explorer history, cached data, and authorization details.

• Remove files securely: The Shredder module permanently removes sensitive information from your PC without any chance of recovery. This feature is particularly valuable if you're selling your PC and don't want any documents to be recovered—or if you need to delete financial documents securely.

Please note that CleanMy® PC, by default, removes only unneeded, automatically generated system files, broken data, and temporary files produced by apps. This means your personal files and your computer remain safe and won't be affected during cleanup.
