Compress videos

CleanMy®Phone lets you optimize and free up space on your device by compressing your video files without noticeable quality loss.

1. On the tab bar, tap Organize.

2. In the Optimize Media section, tap Compress Video.

   

   The app lists all video files you can compress.

   Tip

   By default, videos are sorted by date (newest first). To change the sorting order (by date or by size), choose what file information to show (size and type), or change the layout, tap the More button in the upper-right corner and choose your options.

   

3. Select up to 5 videos to compress at a time and tap Compress, then wait for the process to finish—keep the app open until it completes.

   To select all videos at once (up to 5 if there are more), tap Select All in the upper-right corner.

   

   Tip

   To preview a video, tap the file to open it full screen—there you can view its metadata or share it.

4. When compression completes, you'll see the results screen.

   

   • If you compressed multiple files, swipe horizontally to check the results.

   • Tap Continue to replace originals with compressed versions.

     After you confirm deletion of the original files, they'll be moved to the Recently Deleted album in the Photos app. (If you need to get them back, learn how.) The compressed videos are saved to your photo library.

   • Tap Cancel Compression to discard compressed files and keep the originals.

That's it! You've successfully freed up more storage space on your device with minimal efforts.
